The 19th Annual VES Awards was held on April 6, 2021 and two projects our graduates worked on led the wins for the night. ‘The Midnight Sky’ won a total of two awards and ‘The Mandalorian’ won a total three awards that night. Our graduates worked on the Visual Effects on both projects and won the following VFX Awards: ‘The Midnight Sky’ won Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal Feature and ‘The Mandalorian’ won Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal Episode (The Marshal.)
‘The Midnight Sky’ also won the following award: Outstanding Model in a Photoreal or Animated Project (Aether). Other awards ‘The Mandalorian’ received are Outstanding Animated Character in an Episode or Real-Time Project (The Jedi; The Child) and Outstanding Created Environment in an Episode, Commercial, or Real-Time Project (The Believer; Morak Jungle).
Graduate Josh Devenyi worked on ‘The Midnight Sky’ and alumni Brian Bentley, Alex Heffner, Seth Lickiss, Yael Majors, David Crane and Chris Montesano all worked on ‘The Mandalorian.’
