DAVE School Students Visit Electronic Arts in Downtown Orlando

Our students had an unforgettable experience today thanks to our Director of Career Services, Michael Keith, who arranged an exciting tour of Electronic Arts (EA) in Downtown Orlando! This visit provided our students, faculty, and staff with an exclusive look inside one of the most iconic game studios in the world.

An Impressive Welcome

Upon arrival, our group was greeted with a stunning view of EA’s beautiful building, adorned with incredible murals both inside and outside. The artistic ambiance immediately set the stage for an inspiring visit.

Exploring the World of EA Tiburon

Our students kicked off the tour by learning about the impressive numbers behind the gaming market and gaining valuable insights into the industry’s growth and opportunities. They were then introduced to some of the exciting games developed at EA Tiburon in Orlando, including the highly anticipated College Football title.

Behind-the-Scenes at EA

The tour continued with a visit to EA’s state-of-the-art facilities, which left our students amazed. Highlights included:

  • Motion Capture Studio – where animations are brought to life.
  • Full-size 3D Scanner – used to capture detailed 3D models.
  • Real-Size 3D Printed Assets – offering a tangible look at in-game props and designs.

The Ultimate Conference Room

One of the most memorable moments of the day came when our group entered EA’s incredible conference room—featuring a ball pit! Students (and even some instructors) jumped right in, adding a fun and memorable twist to the visit.

A Word from Our Director of Career Services

Michael Keith shared his thoughts on the visit:

“At DAVE School, we believe that you ‘start with the end in mind,’ and for our graduates, that means understanding the career opportunities that await them. Visiting one of the most successful gaming studios on the planet gives our students a clearer vision of what that might look like. Our students were beyond excited to get a glimpse of what it would be like to work at EA and came back inspired! A special thanks to our host, Ulysses Tyre, for a wonderful tour!”

Special Thanks

We’d like to extend our gratitude to the EA Orlando team for welcoming us into their headquarters and sharing their world with us. Thank you to our VP of Academic Affairs, Leiby Boom, for joining us on this amazing visit. Special thanks to our incredible instructors PJ Salamon, Braden Bunk, Jay Harver, and Mariel Folmer, along with our dedicated Student Services Coordinator, Amy Rasmussen, for being part of this memorable experience.

Once again, huge thanks to Michael Keith for connecting our students with such an inspiring opportunity. This visit was an incredible reminder of the exciting career paths available in the gaming industry, and we can’t wait to see how it inspires our students in the future.
